Marilyn L. Weber, president and CEO of DIS, is a certified sign language interpreter and has an adult daughter who is deaf. Marilyn has been working for more than 25 years promoting accessible communication, and advocating for the rights of the deaf community. She has interpreted in hundreds of professional situations, and conducts deaf awareness workshops, cultural diversity training, and ADA Compliance Consulting. Marilyn has over 2,900 hours of related professional training.
Marilyn has received several awards from various organizations recognizing her work and dedication to the deaf community, including the National Innovation Award from the Women President’s Organization (WPO); Outstanding Philanthropic Small Corporation Award from the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP); the San Antonio Ethics in Business Finalist Award from the City of San Antonio and the Ecumenical Center; Promoting Inclusion and Accessibility Award from the San Antonio Independent Living Services’ (SAILS) 24th Annual Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Celebration- San Antonio; and the ADA Employer of the Year award from the 18th Annual Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Celebration- San Antonio.
Marilyn has a pharmacy degree from the California Paramedical and Technical College where she graduated as salutatorian of her class.
John F. Weber, vice president of risk & compliance and COO for DIS, is responsible for risk management, technology, business operations and consulting. John is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and was elected to the Board of Regents for the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE). He received the ACFE’s “Outstanding Achievement in Government Award” and was Awarded CFE of the year 2017.
As a member of the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) John earned the Certified Protection Professional (CPP) credential, making him Board Certified in Security Management. He was also co-winner of ASIS’s “Excellence in Performance Management” award.
John received his bachelor’s degree from St. John Fisher College in communications and sociology. He then received his master’s degree from California State University in social science and criminal justice. John later graduated from San Antonio College Law Enforcement Training Academy and earned his Texas Master Peace Officer license.
Larry D. Smith, director of program management and business development at DIS, manages the creation of American Sign Language (ASL) videos for national education projects. This includes the preliminary project scope, overseeing the in-house studio team, and managing the relationships and contracts with clients. Larry helped develop DIS’s video component team and has created over 5,000 ASL videos for clients.
Larry has over 15 years of project management experience working with schools across the country. He has a marketing and advertising degree from Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology-Okmulgee.
Forrest Weber, designer and media manager at DIS, is also a minority owner. Having been with the company for over eight years, his role has grown recently, and he is now facilitating most of DIS’s design and advertising work. Forrest’s experience includes working for both the San Antonio Spurs and the Brooklyn Nets of the National Basketball Association. Crystal D. Tower, coordinator for DIS, has been with the company since 2004.
Crystal manages scheduling and billing and assists with all aspects of business operations for DIS.
Crystal’s educational background includes training in business, accounting, deaf studies and is certified in equine management. She enjoys working with horses and being outdoors in her spare time. Crystal, who was born deaf and is fluent in American Sign Language (ASL), is married to a certified sign language interpreter. Their son, who is hard-of-hearing, is also fluent in ASL.

Carol Sue Healey, coordinator of DIS, assists with handling the team’s scheduling, payroll, and client and employee relations. She has taken classes in the Interpreter Training Program at San Antonio College.
Belinda S. Cloud, accounting manager at DIS, is an accounting and office management professional with over thirty years of experience. At DIS Belinda handles the daily accounting records, accounts receivable and billing. She is very proficient with accounting and software systems, including CPSI, QuickBooks and Microsoft products.
Belinda is one of DIS’ remote team members – working from a remote office in Truth or Consequences, N.M.; she comes onsite to the main office for two weeks approximately every other month.
Belinda has an associate of arts from California State at San Bernardino and an associate of art degree from Riverside City College. She is currently attending New Mexico State University to pursue her Bachelor of Arts degree in business.
Tina Whiteside is responsible for the Receipt and Confirmation of all Requests and keeping the schedule updated on a daily basis. She assists with scheduling interpreters as needed and all office duties. Tina is also a Computer Assisted Note-taker for deaf individuals who are not proficient in sign language.
Tina’s experience includes positions in Insurance and New home building as well as Education, Sales and Training.
She was raised in San Antonio and surrounding areas and is a graduate of Clark High School. After living and working in Austin for 20 years, she is happy to be back in her home town of San Antonio. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, church-related activities and Classic Rock Music.
